Scholarships

HIV Glasgow 2020 will now be a Virtual Congress

The Scientific Committee is pleased to confirm that they plan to continue to assist with the participation of individuals in the form of complimentary registrations from the three categories listed below.

The application process both for the Community Educations and the Resource Limited applications has been simplified and candidates will be asked for feedback via a survey post-meeting rather than a formal report as in previous years.

Community Educators
Specifically for those working with patients and other healthcare organisations who have the commitment and opportunity to share knowledge and experience gained from attending the Congress within their immediate community, and/or nationally.  This award is not for healthcare professionals or physicians working in the field.

Physicians working in resource limited settings
For healthcare professionals and physicians with in-depth involvement in treatment and care. Submission of an abstract is not a requirement for this type of scholarship. The ability to share findings amongst your local team and spread knowledge is a requirement of this scholarship.

The deadline for applications for Community Educator and Resource Limited Scholarships is Friday 10 July 2020. After this date, applications will be evaluated and individuals will be notified of the outcome and, if appropriate, they will be sent a confirmation of a complimentary registration using the details on their original application.

Junior Researchers
For young investigators aged under 35 at the time of the Congress. Applicants wishing to apply for a Junior Researcher Scholarship are required to submit an abstract and apply through the abstract system (please click here).

The deadline for Junior Researchers is the regular abstract deadline of Friday 26 June 2020. The outcome of the abstract submission and whether the applicant has been awarded a complimentary scientific registration will be made available at the end of August 2020 when the scientific programme is finalised.
